"On the twentieth day of archiving the documents found in the Loong Pagoda, I uncovered what appeared to be a sketch of the Artist Cat. Judging by the rough linework, this was not a self-portrait but the guardian of Danqing Island's own attempt at depicting the legendary figure.

Curiously, the artist was also encircled by several loopy hearts and the parchment was blotted with several watermarks which look suspiciously like tear stains.

They must have been such good friends."
