This particular part of history was marked by remarkable changes in fashion, mostly in Europe and especially in the court of Versailles, characterized by large hair accessories, dramatic dresses, and a show of opulence and riches.
Makeup was dramatic and one’s skin was painted pale, often to show of status. Hair was curled into rolls and decorated with flowers, feathers, pearls and such.
