This outfit was constructed with the skirt and jacket as starting points. With pastel versions of the three primary colours, the rest of the look was coordinated to evoke childish whimsy. The clear wellies and the plastic backpack made it a rainy day outfit, so the hat was chosen for practicality purposes. An extra charm point is also seen at the back of the boots featuring paws, which goes with the cat shaped backpack. If cat earrings were an option, I would have gone with those, too.
